Tullia at Home
At home, Tullia is a very busy member of the family. First of all, she feels it is
her very important duty to greet us at the start of each day. Her joy at our waking is
a wonderful thing to see. She is all excited wags and smiles when we wake up, even though she has
just spent the entire night either beside or on the bed. It is impossible to be in a bad
mood with a Spinone wake-up committee!
 |
Another important activity every day is making sure to play with her housebrother, Tucker.
The two romp together in the backyard, and also enjoy daily excursions to any of various
local parks, especially on Lake Washington. We are very fortunate to have several
offleash parks in our urban area so the dogs can race around to stay in good shape.

Tullia is a part-time couch potato, and she spends a fair amount of every day
snoozing on the sofa. However, she is almost constantly looking out the
windows or begging to be outside to watch out for squirrels and crows, our
most frequent visitors and her favorites to stalk (when the cats are sleeping).

Our girl certainly does bark, especially when the UPS man comes by. But more often
she "talks". This can
be a series of groaning and grunting to get a message across, deep sighs to signal
that she is being completely neglected, or a resounding "Aroo-rOO-rooo!"
when she is excited to see us or to see the big cookie waiting to be tossed in her
general direction. |
At least once a year, Tullia likes to get out to the Pacific coast for a
little R&R. She loves the beach and especially likes the seagulls.

Someone's got to keep a close eye on the yard!
